SELECTMEN’S MINUTES
June 18, 2002

PRESENT:  Theodore Bailey, Jeffrey Jordan, Heather Briggs and Judy Kenneally via telephone

OLD BUSINESS:

The minutes of June 11, 2002 were approved as written, signed and will be posted to our web page.

NEW BUSINESS:

Subject: Andrea Deachman, Planning Board Sec.
HIGHLIGHTS:

Andrea gave copies of Planning Minutes of June 06, 2002 to the Selectmen.  Andrea gave a disk copy of the minutes to Heather to post on the web site.

Andrea gave a copy of a memorandum regarding the CIP that is being given out to the department heads of Chichester.

The Selectmen and Andrea discussed the letters regarding Planning Board’s concerns that has been mailed.

 Subject: Attorney Tim Sheedy
HIGHLIGHTS:
Attorney Sheedy came in to informally discuss lot 4-165 owned by One Time Properties.  He was interested in townhouse development and what the Board thought.  Chairman Ted Bailey referred him to   the Planning Board.

Subject:   John Prickett, Fire Chief and Paul Sanborn, Fire Department
HIGHLIGHTS:

Paul spoke of an E-mail regarding the recent accident on route 4.  The E-mail was to say that the Department’s management of this accident were impressive.   

John and Paul addressed Gary’s RV and the new building being proposed.   Gary would like to build a wood frame building but not be required to be held to the Standard Regulation mandated by the law.  Gary is asking for a variance.  The Fire Department does not want to do this. The board unanimously agreed not to give the variance.

Mike Paveglio is working with Mr. Mullaney and the new proposed subdivision. Mike would like to see Mr. Mullaney use residential sprinkler systems throughout and to look into a road, subject to gates, for added emergency access.

John Prickett is now working on the day shift at the hospital.

John spoke of the positive relationship between the Police Department and the Fire Department.  




Subject:  Board Discussion
HIGHLIGHTS:

Judy is planning for the appreciation dinner and asked the Selectmen’s opinion regarding the dinner itself.  The Selectmen inquired about the costs and about the place at which to have the dinner.

The Sealed bids were opened.  As there was only one bid submitted, by Walter Sanborn, the winning bid was for $515 to Walter Sanborn.  The Selectmen will sign the bill of sale at the next meeting on June 25, 2002.
The Road Agent position will be posted for two weeks in the Suncook Sun.
